Effective April 9, 2026
By accessing or using DonorShepherd (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including organization administrators and team members.
DonorShepherd is a donor stewardship platform for nonprofit organizations. It generates prioritized contact recommendations based on your donor data and configurable stewardship rules. We provide the software as a service; you are responsible for your organization’s use of it.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. DonorShepherd uses magic link authentication — no passwords are stored. You must provide accurate information during signup. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your organization’s account.
The Service is offered on a subscription basis. Plans and pricing are described on our Pricing page. All subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.
Trial accounts are subject to usage limits described on the pricing page. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days’ notice.
You own your data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We will not sell, share, or use your donor data for any purpose other than operating and improving the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process any personal data you enter into the Service, including donor information.
You may not use the Service to send unsolicited commercial email, to violate any applicable law, to infringe intellectual property rights, or to transmit harmful or fraudulent content. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these conditions.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages may occur. We are not liable for any loss resulting from temporary unavailability of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DonorShepherd and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may terminate your account at any time from the Billing settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
